Twitter Interns play a key role in the operations of the VA’s Twitter feed, which publishes content to over 624,000 followers. Twitter interns are responsible for finding positive content regarding recent events and items of interest to Veterans and creating Twitter content to disseminate to our audience.

Due to their frequent work with the VA’s social media platforms, Twitter interns will use Salesforce Social Studio to schedule social content across these platforms. As such, the Twitter Department is run by a Department Head who performs extensive work in managing the drafted Tweets created by interns.

Prospective interns should have experience using Twitter, concise writing skills, attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and an understanding of social media management.
