Intern Testimonials

From 2022-2023 YouTube Interns
"Working as an intern and then as the DH of the YouTube department has given me many opportunities and projects to work on. From coming up with video ideas to creating/editing them, there is a lot of work involved in each project. While it may seem like a lot, the work on each new project is very satisfying to complete, and allows interns to be well versed in skills that can help other departments as well."

"Being a volunteer on the YouTube team is surprisingly intersectional. Depending on what role you're playing in putting a video together, you're using graphic design skills, video and sound editing skills, and even writing skills. I've written out scripts for videos, had to manage not only collecting/recording the footage, but editing it. Not to mention making thumbnails and lower thirds, which falls in the graphic design category. The work translates well to working on other teams and vice versa."
